"Brains Brains Brains was formed in May of 2005 with the demise of the street punk band The Angsted . Long time friends and former band mates, Mitch and Tony, decided to continue playing together, but this time playing Horror Punk. Tony quickly contacted Dale who played guitar in the band, Insomnia 5 years prior to Brains Brains Brains. Dale, naturally accepted the chance to join a horror rock band. The guys quickly began writing songs, the first being "Hungry Dead" and then "Last Man on Earth." More soon followed. After about 2 weeks of being a band and still having no drummer, the band was approached by Joe from The Afterdarks to play a show with Calabrese, The Agrestix, and The Afterdarks. Brains Brains Brains agreed, but knew that it was time to find a drummer and fast! Tony got ahold of Andy Ortiz, also a former band mate in The Angsted, and asked him to drum. Andy came to the bands 3rd practice and learned the songs and agreed to fill in on Drums. The line up was then Mitch on guitar, Dale on lead guitar, Tony on Bass, and Andy on Drums. After 4 additional practices the band played their debut show and were received very well by the Quad City punk scene as well as the other bands. Afterward the band continued writing songs with Andy and wrote 5 more songs to top out at 13. Then the dilemma of who to get for a permanent drummer again reared its ugly head. Tony, Mitch, and Dale sat down and decided what to do. 3 hours later they emerged with Tony on drums, Mitch on Bass, and Dale on Lead guitar. And the search for a real bassist began. The band tried out Erik a horror punk from Iowa and Mark, the founder of Insomnia. They decided to make Mark one of the undead. Taking Influences from The Misfits, Balzac, The Ramones, Type O Negative, Calabrese, and Tiger Army; Brains Brains Brains was born in laboratory of fear, murder and the undead. Where will you hide from the unyielding, apocalyptic, Plague of Brains Brains Brains? Is there any escape in sight? YOU ARE NEXT!"
