These guys are amazing musicians. They also have great gear and tone. The harmonies between Dusty and Travis compliment each other very well. Dusty has an impressive voice, which really surprised me. He was a guitar player for Pipe Theory and Bruised, before taking on this new role. By virtue of that fact, I expected him to have a mean, aggressive, singing style, but he has a very smooth, full voice, perfect for the style of music Mariannis plays. Smart, harmony driven, dynamic rock is how I would describe their style. - Terry Johnson

Mariannis kicked off the night and played a solid set. The drummer and bass player where in the pocket allowing the guitar player to solo and go where he wanted, the vocals I felt were weak because they weren't brought up enough through the PA....but the harmonies were awesome. These guys have more talent then I could ever dreamed about having when I was their age. Intensity and doing what they love made them go over pretty well. I could tell because the crowd had begun to gather near the stage. - Mark Schrupp

DAMN... these guys kick my ass every time I see them! (Lumpys 7-2-05) Their sound is massive, their songs are addictive and get more mesmerizing everytime. You can't stop watching the drummer (Daniel) totally obliterate his set. These guys are what playing music is all about. Total passion, great tones, superb songs. These guys deserve something far better than the circuit around here. And everyone in the QC music scene can learn a thing or two about how to handle themselves without making enemies but still getting it done. I would pay money anywhere, anytime to see these guys and only hope that something better comes their way soon. I beleive that they could handle themselves on any stage anywhere with ANYONE. I guess it may seem like I am a family member or something, but no. I am that much of a fan of this band. I think they are the real thing and the total package. Good luck to them and I can't wait to see them. Oh, by the way, they have a 3 song demo cd that by the time it's over, you are wishing for more. I could only wish I could write songs or play like them. I sure don't like going on after their set either, rather embarrassing actually. - Mark Detl
