Skintight brings hair metal back to life
"Their set blazed! Pure energy start to finish. They all worked the
crowd. Even Paul from way back behind the drums was commanding. The set
was diverse enough to keep you interested. Mark on bass and Anthony on
rhythm do a great job backing up lead singer "Gilby Guns" on the vocals.
The fog machine was a nice touch as well! (ha, ha) These guys seem to
have a great time, and bring the audience along for the ride. It was
cool to hear some Ramones!" - Terry Johnson

Skintight formed in late 2001 with the idea of bringing rock back to the masses. Having opened for such acts as Warrant, Quiet Riot, and Cheese Pizza, Skintight was on their way to making a name for themselves. Playing close to 100 shows in their last year of existence. Then singer /guitarist Chuck Murphy left the band due to personel conflicts in 2004.
Just when you thought it was safe to put away your stonewashed jeans and concert shirts, SKINTIGHT Returns! High octane rock and roll at its finest. Formed in 2001 by Chuck Murphy, Paul Ristau, and Anthony Dixon, Skintight started as a way to bring back the feeling of the 70's and 80's ROCK. The loud guitars, thunderous drums, sing along choruses and all the stage antics that go along with it. Having opened for Quiet Riot, Warrant, Cheese Pizza and many other acts Skintight split in late 2005 due to personal conflicts. Chuck Murphy and bassist Mark Detl went on to form Laze Bones. Laze Bones lived for a short Period. After a long lenghty discussion ( a whole 15 minute) Skintight decided to give it one more go round. The line up of Chuck Murphy - Vocals and guitar, Anthony Dixon - Backing Vocals and Guitar, Mark Detl - Bass and Backing Vocals and Paul Ristau on Drums will perform on Nov 19th at Quad City Live with Twistyr and Verbal Warning. For an evening of Debauchary and RAWK dont miss this show.
